Happy Birthday to Carter!!

Today my little baby boy turns 6! Happy Birthday Carter. I love you. You have been such an amazing person in our life and I am so happy you came to our family! I hardly remember the day you were born, but I do know that you made us very very happy.

Now you are so grown up. Me and Daddy love you so much! We are so proud at who you are and what you are becoming. Always stay happy and follow that happiness!

LAGOON!

So we got a season passes this year. Actually, this is the first one Kurt and I have ever gotten. And I have to tell ya, it is totally worth it. We have already been 4 times. The kids love it and we are forcing them to overcome their fears. LOL! The kids even get to go with friends in the neighborhood that also have passes. So its fun. I would just like to go one time and have some adult fun. (and not in the naughty way...Jeff)
Although Lagoon isnt my favorite place since I have a tragic memory of me breaking up with my, lol, Jr High boyfriend the week before Lagoon Day and then watching him hook up with another girl to spite me. Ok...sorry rambling on here.
Anyway, Carter is very very brave. He is tall enough to go on the scariest rides and so far his father has gotten him on the Spider, the Bat, the Mouse, and is hoping to get him on Wicked by the end of the summer. Hang in there kid! I however enjoy most of the kiddy rides with Lizzy. The faces she makes on some of them are so hilarious!

Can traffic get any more crappy!

Here is an article I found today reading my daily news online.

Lawmakers consider 'congestion pricing' for Utah motorists
May 14th, 2008 @ 10:17am

Are Utah drivers ready to pay more to drive when the roads are the most congested? It's an idea being kicked around by state lawmakers.

In fact, "congestion pricing" is picking up growing support among state leaders, who are hoping to better fund the cost of transportation improvements in Utah.

Assistant Senate Majority Whip Sheldon Killpack is the latest to voice interest in congestion pricing. He tells KSL's "Doug Wright Show" it'd work as a financial incentive to stay off the roads during peak drive times, and it's an outside-the-box solution.

And, he told a panel discussion during the Utah Taxpayers' Association's "Taxes now" conference that it, along with higher gas tax, would help cover the cost of transportation needs.
Killpack and the chair of the Utah Transportation Commission are in favor of raising the state gas tax. They'd like to see it be 40 cents per gallon rather than the current 24 cents. That would make it the highest state gas tax in the country by 4 cents.

The age I will be for the rest of my life

Well, On May 4th, I turned 29. The age I will be for the rest of my life. I dont feel any different but then again, that popping hip of mine and cracking wrists reminds me Im getting up there.

It was a good birthday. Busy, but hey, the Blaze finally won a game that night so it was somewhat of a happy time. Kurt took me to the Dodo and it was yummy.

Im just glad that the past is behind me and I have the future to look forward to and be better.

Thanks mom for birthing me! Love you.

Playing with friends

It was so nice to have Braden and Halle over to play. Braden we see pretty often, but it was nice to have another girl over to play! They had so much fun!

First time up to bat....

Carter started Tball yesterday. He was so scared, but he got out there and listened and did his best. I know it was his very first ever, but I will just say that he has my grace when it comes to sports, atleast for now. As Carter would say "Im only 5 mom" so I know he will improve. I just love that kid!
